Common solutions
GPS or location is unavailable
Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Lumora Prospect. Allow location while using the app. Enable Precise Location when you need the best available field position.
Move outdoors with a clearer view of the sky and allow a little time. GPS accuracy depends on the device and surroundings.
Field Twin stops in the background
Confirm that a Field Twin session is actively recording before locking the screen or switching apps. iOS should show a location indicator while active background recording is running.
Do not force-quit the app during a session. Low Power Mode, weak GPS and iOS settings can affect recording.
Camera or photos do not work
Check Camera and Photos under Settings → Privacy & Security. Lumora Prospect needs access only when you take or select a photo for a find.
If a photo still does not load, try another image and restart the app before sending an issue report.
Terrain relief, LiDAR or elevation is missing
These features need internet access and public coverage from GeoNorge/Kartverket. LiDAR-based terrain data is not available everywhere. Try another area and confirm that the iPhone has internet access.
Terrain layers and elevation are supporting information and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Backup or import
Create a backup from Settings in the app and wait for the share options to appear. A full backup may contain photos, precise locations and other sensitive field information, and is not password-protected.
For import, choose an original Lumora backup that has not been edited. Files larger than 512 MB or unsupported backup versions are rejected without changing existing data.
Deleting local data
Delete finds, photos, signals, areas or Field Twin sessions from their relevant sections in the app. Removing the app deletes its local app container from the iPhone, but exported files and copies in Apple backups must be handled separately.
Safe field use
- Lumora Prospect does not guarantee finds and does not replace experience or personal judgement.
- Maps, GPS, terrain and coverage estimates can be inaccurate. Carry suitable safety equipment and have an independent plan.
- Check landowner permission, cultural heritage rules, protected areas and other local requirements before metal detecting or digging.
- The app is not an emergency or rescue service. Contact local emergency services when there is danger.
